About DJ Blake
Blake Reid is the owner and operator of Pro DJ Mobile Entertainment. Born in Auckland, New Zealand in 1987, he moved to Hawke's Bay at a young age, where he has spent his life growing up, and currently resides. Blake has a younger brother and has two children, with one son; Kaleb (born 29th October 2007) & one daughter; Scarlett (born 5th April 2011).
Blake has a love of deejaying and is passionate and knowledgeable of the equipment used, thus the reason why his DJ equipment is well looked after and constantly updated. He has spent many years trialing and listening to various brands of equipment and always aims for high sound quality. Blake spends time listening to the acoustics of the room whilst setting up and often steps out from behind the DJ booth to make sure optimal sound quality and the right volume is achieved.

Blake typically entertains for four hours, although longer times can be arranged, and carries his entire collection of songs. Each function is as unique as each client, so music can not be 'playlisted'. Blake uses his experience to actively read crowds and selects appropriate songs to play. As far as music is concerned, he carries his whole collection which consists of all of the old favourites right through to the hits of today. Any songs you wish to request for your night, Blake will do everything possible to make sure he has them.
Pro DJ Mobile Entertainment owns all it's own equipment and carries out regular maintenance to ensure it is reliable and runs as good as the day it was made. The DJ is familiar with the correct operation of all the components, and they are of a professional grade. The lighting supplied is modern and is used in a way that complements the songs. The sound system is punchy while still offering the highest sound quality.
