STOP PRESS!!

Firstly, a HUGE congratulations must go out to the Stud Racing team of Athol Williams and crew, who qualified in the Number One position, and took out the Summernationals Top Bike win at Western Sydney International Dragway on the weekend!!

The finals were run between Athol and Brett Stevens, with Athol coming out on top with a 6.654 @ 199.70 to Brett's 6.710 @ 208.91. To the best of our knowledge this is the first ANDRA win by a Kiwi team.

Well done to all involved and no doubt the team is still on a huge high, and will be for some time. Secondly, congratulations must certainly go the Queensland team of Kath Stevens, (wife of Brett), in the Jack Daniels Top Doorslammer. Although she didn't qualify in the top eight, Kath was able to run in the 'B' consolation class, and laid down a 5.96 second pass against team mate Steve Packman for the round win, and set a world record in the process.

Kath is now the first female Top Doorslammer driver in the world in the 5 second zone, and beat hubby Brett to the five second club. Well done Kath and team - there is a Kiwi connection there too - Brett Congalton (also crews here for the 55 Chev of Craig Brown/Murray Smith) flies over on a regular basis to perform spanner duties on Kath's BA Falcon Doorslammer.
