Welcome
all, to a new and exciting season ahead at Taupo International Dragway.
The Management and staff at TID have been working hard off season to
bring you a fantastic season of racing. We now have
a timing system allowing us to be self operational and we have all new
gear to prep the track so be ready for some blistering times. We are
also fortunate to have a fantastic bunch of hard workers / volunteers
(many from Taupo Rod and Custom Club) whom will help towards making this season at TID the best yet.
TID will be running a four round points series
this season. The Summer Nationals will also double as one of the points
series so make sure you attend all the meetings to be in to win some
great end of season prizes. Points will be allocated on a per round win
basis.
Taupo
International Dragway is proud to announce that we have our own
functional timing system and therefore do not need to rely upon other
venues to hire us their system. Our thanks go out to those that have helped us in the past. The genius that
designed, built, and programmed the new system is 'on staff', so if you
can think of something that's been missed, write it down and give it to
us. If we can make something better, we'll do our best. At present, we want to make sure we're confidently crawling and walking before we gallop though. Some of the future 'features' planned for the Taupo timing system will be world firsts.
