AVS Reed Switch

A magnetic reed switch is recommended to protect ute canopies and other openings such as truck sliding doors.

One side of the switch is mounted on the canopy and one on the ute. The sensor works by triggering the car alarm if its two halves are parted while the alarm is armed.

AVS also has a wireless reed switch that can be used in with the AVS RXPRO receiver for situations where it is not possible to run wires through the vehicle.

This sensor can be added as an optional upgrade to any 12 volt AVS car alarm.
