AVS Infrared Motion Sensor 24 Volt

A PIR sensor is the best sensor to use to protect the rear of vans or trucks as it uses infrared to detect body heat and movement.

Standard alarm sensors, such as shock sensors, will not be able to protect the entire vehicle adequately which is why we recommend always fitting a PIR sensor to a van or truck (especially if you are carrying gear in the back).

The AVS PIR sensor is different in that it uses a unique four element PIR which makes it is more stable in the variable heat conditions inside a vehicle (a standard PIR sensor fitted into a vehicle can be prone to false triggers).
